We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
Romans 8:28-31
NRSV
We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose. For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn within a large family. And those whom he predestined he also called; and those whom he called he also justified; and those whom he justified he also glorified.
What then are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us?
Common English
We all know that everything works out for those who love God and were called to serve God. For these people, God planned out their lives before their birth, that so that they would change into beings like Christ, who is the first spiritually born of a large family of people of faith.
Those individuals whose lives were pre-planned in this way are also called to serve God and help others find the way. Those individuals called to serve are also saved from their sins and from disconnection from God, and even further, and are made into exceptional beings by the grace of God.
