Dragon fruit, also known as pitaya, is a tropical fruit renowned for its vibrant colors and sweet, refreshing taste.




Dragon fruit is native to Central America but is now cultivated in many tropical and subtropical regions worldwide, including Vietnam, Thailand, and Israel.


Varieties

Hylocereus undatus: Known for its white flesh and pink skin.

Hylocereus costaricensis: Features red flesh and pink skin.

Hylocereus megalanthus: Has yellow skin and white flesh.




Properties




Boosts immune system: High vitamin C content helps strengthen immunity.

Improves heart health: Antioxidants and healthy fats support cardiovascular health.

Regulates blood sugar: May help control blood sugar levels, making it a good option for diabetics.

Promotes skin health: Antioxidants and hydration properties may benefit skin health.
