The spirit of a Global Mala is to encourage as many people to participate in a collective movement by bringing yoga, breathing, and meditation together.

This is the first Annual Melanin Mala and in honor and celebration of Juneteenth, we will be hosting this event Sunday, June 5th from 11:00 AM until 2PM @ EASTLAKE PARK

We will begin with a collective AUM chant to unify all participants and set our intentions.

We will dedicate each round to a life that was lost. We will dedicate each round to the injustice that has taken place in our lives.

We will collectively each perform 108 Sun Salutations.

Dedications will be made at the top of each Sun Salutation.

*There will be modifications and variations offered so that the practice remains accessible.

They are gone, but not forgotten. On this day we will gather to move our bodies and celebrate their lives.

We will have Shirts for sale in support of this movement for $25

This is a completely FREE event.

While there will be offerings suitable for every level of practitioner—from absolute beginners to experienced teachers—we are sculpting the event with community in mind, and safely offering larger-scale courses, experiences, and classes, so that we may luxuriate in our collective energy. Let’s gracefully surrender the challenges of the past couple of years, and come together in the small beauties and bounties of the world that make life inspirational and magical. We’re ready to throw up our hands in joy and give in to flow!

The festival returns to the beautiful red rock landscape of Sedona, Arizona, where the state-of-the art facilities can accommodate this extraordinary event. We’ll also of course be offering a variety of guided land excursions that foster meaningful immersion in Sedona’s breathtaking natural beauty.
