It's always darkest before dawn. Similarly, the idea of coming to illumination requires some level of initially being in the dark. We are continually evolving - well, those of us who want to be. There are definitely many of us, I'd dare say the majority, who prefer to stay as they are - cool. But for those on the path of personal evolution, there is never a moment when you have officially "evolved" and it's done. If there is such a moment, that may be when you are done with this life on Earth.

Those evolvers among us are continually coming to increased states of information and awareness, continually moving from not knowing to knowing, ignorance to awareness, darkness to enlightenment - over and over again. It is a journey, a bold decision to venture down this very interesting path. As an evolver, you have to prepare for your ego to be demolished because everything you thought you knew about yourself and the world is now up for illumination. But you can also sit back and enjoy the fruits that your personal journey will bring you. Everyone's path is totally different, so those fruits are those things that perhaps have been most elusive to you that you desire the most.

During the new moon, there is a period of intense darkness followed in the coming days by a sliver of illumination that increases in fullness. On a personal level, this can be a time when a question or an issue we may have that is currently unresolved becomes increasingly clear over the next few days as the answer or solution presents itself. Or, something we thought we understood becomes glaringly obvious that we had no understanding of at all. No worries! The awareness that you don't know is all that you need - clarity is coming.

Have trust that the path you are on is taking you where you need to go. Allow yourself to let go enough to be evolved by Spirit. You are not doing this yourself, but are being molded and shaped in a way that you are not even aware of by the same Spirit that created you and all of the desires in our heart. Spirit is trying to give everything to you. So just relax.
