Sore Muscles? Try Castor Oil

From the Inaugural Issue of Liveology Yoga Magazine.



Castor oil is a very thick oil that can help to reduce inflammation and help with hair growth.


If you are experiencing achy joints or muscle soreness, cover the skin in a thick layer of castor oil.


Wrap it Up

Spot treat areas like knees using a washcloth, wrapping the area with plastic wrap. Leave on for 20-30 minutes. You can reuse the washcloth now that it is saturated in castor oil.


Take a Bath

To relax the whole body, apply to the skin and soak in a water bath with your favorite essential oils. For a truly royal experience, apply to the crown of the head and allow to drip down the spine.


After a castor oil bath, your muscles may be looser than expected. Go easy on yoga practice or exercise

immediately afterward.
