The Sahasrara chakra, or the thousand-petaled lotus, rules over our our ability to take in and retain information, to think clearly as well as ruling over our higher level consciousness.

Imbalances here can lead to dullness, apathy, confusion, feelings that everything is meaningless, and depression. Balance creates clarity in the mind and a sense of well-being. Create balance here through pratyahara or withdrawal of the senses in meditation.
