Sanskrit Name: Muladhara

English Translation: Root, support

Color: Red

Rules Over: Survival, Stability

Part of Body: Perineum, Base of Spine, Legs, Feet

Information:

Ground yourself through your Muladhara Chakra. This chakra rules over physical matter, things that are solid, and of the earth including muscle and bones. Lack of balance here can lead to feelings of anxiety, not deserving to be here, and financial problems. Find balance with postures that root your hands, feet, and seat into the ground, or spend some time in nature on a walk or jog to stamp the feet out and get the lower extremities moving.
