English Translation: Upward Facing Bow


Urdhva - Upward

Dhanura - Bow

Asana - Posture


How to:


  1. Begin laying on the back. Bend the knees so that the feet are within reaching distance of the hands, and place the hands alongside the ears.

  2. On an inhale, press evenly into the hands and into the feet and lift up. Hold for 5 breaths.

  3. Exhale to come down.

  4. Walk the hands in, if desired, and repeat 3-5 times.

  5. End with a forward fold to reset the spine.
